Zona Communications supports the federal Lifeline program for qualifying low-income consumers, This program provides discounted telephone or broadband service for eligible households. Eligible households participate in at least one of the following programs: (a) Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8), (b) Food Stamps, (c) Medicaid, (d) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or (e) Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit. Additional eligibility criteria may apply to residents of federally recognized tribal lands. Income based eligibility is based upon the total household income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Lifeline offers the following federal “recurring monthly” credits, totaling $9.25, for each customer eligible for Lifeline Assistance:*
- Credit amount will not exceed the total Subscriber Line Charge and the Residential Local Exchange rate.
